BCU Mobilization for 2017 drilling at Kabba
Vancouver, British Columbia - Bell Copper Corporation ("Bell" or the "Company") (NEX: BCU.H) is pleased to report that on June 30 2017, the company received drill permit approval and mobilization immediately began for the 2017 drill program at the Company's Kabba porphyry copper project near Kingman, AZ. Personnel, equipment and materials have been dispatched and preparation of drill sites and roadworks is underway. It is anticipated that drilling will begin within the next two weeks. This initial 2017 drilling is focused on multiple high priority targets recently identified during the extensive geophysics program performed by Quantec Geosciences in November 2016. These priority targets are situated beyond the limits of earlier drill testing by Bell. They appear to originate from depths of 400 to 500 meters where Bell has previously encountered significant porphyry-style disseminated sulfide mineralization. The dimensions of the IP anomalies that Quantec identified (3km x 4km) are comparable to the size of the faulted target that Bell has been pursuing "The path that the Company has followed over the past 4 years to arrive at this point has been long, sinuous, and difficult. Tim Marsh -President & CEO Kabba Project The Company's Kabba porphyry copper-molybdenum project lies on a productive porphyry copper trend between Freeport's Bagdad mine and Origin Mining's Mineral Park mine in northwestern Arizona, a state that has produced ten percent of the world's copper. Porphyry-style alteration has been intersected in drillholes K-8 through K-11 and was predicted to be present beneath gravel-covered hills based on a fault model linking it with an outcropping porphyry root zone 8 kilometers to the west. Drillhole K-11, completed in the summer of 2015, cut nearly 900 meters of altered and mineralized porphyry interpreted to be the pyritic shell surrounding a more copper-rich central zone. K-11 also cut a 14-meter-thick intersection of supergene chalcocite enrichment blanket. Drillhole K-12 completed in 2016 encountered altered breccia and porphyry from a shallow depth < 400 meters beneath the surface to the bottom of the hole at 1183 meters. Similar to K-11, K-12 cut nearly 900 meters of altered and mineralized porphyry indicating +800 meter thickness of pyritic shell. 2017 drilling will be on priority targets identified in the November 2016 comprehensive Geophysics Program. Qualified Person The technical content of this release has been reviewed and approved by Timothy Marsh, PhD, PEng., the Company's CEO and President. No mineral resource has yet been identified on the Kabba Project. There is no certainty that the present exploration effort will result in the identification of a mineral resource or that any mineral resource that might be discovered will prove to be economically recoverable.
